Sunday

Last Sunday we decided it was time to start looking for a church. I looked up Episcopal Churches in Durham, found one and we decided to try it out (making sure they had childcare). Apparently there are two on "main" street. The one I thought we were going to was not, in fact, the one I looked up. When we got to the first one, it looked closed (wha?!) only to find out that their service started at 10:30 (it was 8:45). Richard was pretty annoyed but when I showed him they were both on Main Street, he agreed, it was a mistake anyone could have made.

We then kept on down main street through downtown Durham until we found the next Episcopal church. As we were getting out of the car we saw a guy with two dogs walking towards church. A little strange yes, but we didn't connect it to what was happening at church that day. We saw him walk inside with his dogs and we were like this must be the wrong place, lets ask someone. So we did. She took us straight inside only to find that everyone brought their dogs, cats, fish, sea monkeys and rabbits to church. It was bless the animals day. Yay.

Richard and I dropped the kids off at the nursery and seriously considered leaving. We didn't know anyone so no one would notice that we walked in and walked right back out, right? We stayed, through the barking, hissing and general chaos of animals everywhere.

So we rewarded ourselves with brunch beside the church we thought we were going to. Here is one of the cookies the twins got. And below are pictures of them eating their cookies.
