Woodson - Update

So...everyone has been asking what these kids have been up to so I will devote one post to each of them. Woodson, has two bottom teeth. They are very cute teeth and I love it when he smiles because you can see them poking out. He loves to put everything in his mouth. His sock, his foot, his hand, his toys, my hair...if it is within his reach, it is going straigt into his mouth.

He has just finished having his fourth ear infection which means (drumroll....) ear tubes! So we went to visit Dr. Moretz on Friday who told me very bluntly that he was going to do local anesthesia in both ears we were going to sit and watch movies for 45 mintues and then I was going to hold Woodson down while they used a lazer to put a hole in each ear (for .13 seconds), drain the ear of fluid and then pop the tube in. He did mention it would quite possibly be the longest 2 minutes of my life. When I asked what happens if he moves, he simply responded with..."I haven't missed yet, knock on wood".

I was a little worried, but after doing some asking around, it sounds like there is something to not putting an 8 month old under anesthesia, but still...stay tuned for what we decide.

Meanwhile, he is also *thinking* about crawling and standing. See bottom two pictures...not quite there on either front, but not far away.

Mom was here this past week and helped out a ton, she also took pictures, but I can't figure out how to download them from Shutterfly to my desktop in order to post them...if you want to see them, email me and I will forward you the pics!

  1. Woodson is really gettin' ready to rumble. That first picture looks like he is saying, "You're going to do what?"

Please email me the pix JJ took!
