Desitin

Megan and Woodson bonded this weekend. Megs helped give Woodson several baths and get him ready for bed. Since Megs is the new auntie of Ellen AND she recently took care of baby Ellen overnight, I didn't bother giving instructions.

I soon learned that Ellen doesn't use Desitin. After handing the desitin off to Megan (after applying MA's), she asked me how much to put on before putting on Woodson's diaper. She squirted approximately a quarter inch in the palm of her hand and I said that looked right. I was a bit confused as to why she would put it in the palm of her hand but figured she was going to use the other finger. It was just as I was having this thought as I saw her rubbing her hands together and to achieve a nice white lather of desitin covering both hands. Now I was really confused.

I think Megan sensed my confusion and thought she better go ahead and complete the project. She began rubbing the desitin on W's outter buttox and upper right thigh...she looked at me for confirmation. It was then I realized she thought it was lotion. I was crying I was laughing so hard. After I gave the proper instructions, Megs was able to get the diaper on and get Woodson off to bed. Megan was a good sport about smelling like Desitin Maximum strength for the rest of the night.
