The Mink

The vest pictured above is my newest wardrobe addition.  Ironically, it is the oldest piece of clothing I have ever owned.  In the past 60 years the mink has been a stole (yes, the kind with the feet) when Grandmother wore it,  a jacket with puffy "carpet" sleeves when mom re-made it in the early 90's and now, I have removed the puffy sleeves to wear in 2011 and forward.

I LOVE it!  I have worn it to the grocery store, the movies and dinner.  And I embarrass Richard everywhere with it.  But what is the point of having something if you can't use it!

Nama (my mom's grandmother) used to say that we were too poor to buy cheap clothes.  I am not sure if this applies to the mink but the cost per wear is pretty good!  Thank you Grandmother!!!

  2. Morgan, you and mink go very well together. Richard, take special note.

Will you let Mercer Anne touch it (when her hands and nose are clean) so she can start getting used to it?
