Older, fuller women....

I originally entitled this post sippy cups but I am changing it given I apparently I started this post and then stopped before I had all my thoughts together.  We are learning how to use sippy cups, we don't get it yet.  Anyway, funny story from yesterday...

I am 29 years old and last week I asked my mom if she wanted to buy me a new dress.  She said of course, and some new shoes too!  I was thrilled...until I went to the store.

Richard gets home Saturday morning after work at about 11:15, he says he needs to get back to school around 12 so that gives me 45 minutes to do my shopping. Not long enough to browse or go to the mall, so I head the shops in Surrey Center.

I find a cute top and some cropped pants and then I start looking at the dresses.  The nice girl behind the counter offers this nice tidbit about the dress I am entertaining trying on:  "I know this dress looks really young, but it certainly suits older women too" (just exactly how old does she think I am?), she goes on to say, "you really need a fuller figure for it to look good".  WHAT?!  Is she really in sales?  Needless to say I did not buy the dress.

I hope that was entertaining to anyone who is "older" and has a "fuller figure".
