Two weeks ago I joined a Duke Spouse playgroup. We met at Burch Avenue Park in Durham and it is officially my new favorite go-to place when we don't have "plans" with other kiddos and their moms. We went there Saturday and Sunday morning this weekend. It is a great little park because there isn't so much that it is a huge draw for bigger kids, but it is perfect for 2 to 5 year olds.
We had a very special weekend, although Richard is still on nights (ugh) and he has basically 24 hours off of which most he has to sleep, he didn't have a football game that was in the way of family time. So he actually slept on Saturday and when he woke up we met Uncle Michael and Aunt Erica for dinner at Torreros Mexican Restaurant. The kids were great, much to the surprise of the restaurant manager who tried to put us as far in the back as possible, but was thwarted by Morgan who has to find the perfect table which was NOT at the back of the restaurant. Best part about that restaurant is that kids eat free every night except Fridays...we will be back:-). Sunday morning, Richard went with us to the park for an hour before he had to head home and go back to sleep to get ready for work tonight. 4 weeks of nights down, 6 to go. Please pray for us to make it! I will say that if that is the worst thing that happens to us this year (that we have 10 weeks straight of not seeing Richard) we have a LOT to be thankful for.
Hope everyone is having a great weekMonday!
