I am not sure if I have mentioned this, but the kids have started to LOVE to read. They bring you the book they want you to read and will sit in your lap while you go to it. This is my favorite time of the day. Partly because it is so sweet and partly because it brings so much joy to my heart to watch them learn to love reading. Memaw and Popi read two of their favorites at bed-time this weekend: Cordoroy and Brown Bear, Brown Bear. Their other favorite is, Where is Baby's Belly Button?
What is your favorite bed-time book? Mine was always Goodnight Moon.

I plan to make it up as I go.
ReplyDeleteI know that Mom's favorite to read to me was the dinosaur book that Aunt Tuta left for me on the toilet while we were out of town. Harvey the Terrible Eater also deserves an honorable mention.
ReplyDeleteI too love Harvey the Terrible Eater...we have that one at the house...And you made me laugh out loud remembering the books on the toilet from Aunt Tuta!
ReplyDeleteThat dinosaur book was sooooo long, but Michael loved to look at the pictures...Occasionally I would start to nod off during brachiosaurus or protoceratops! This book had EVERY dinosaur!
