Toll House Cookies

When I was a kid (and even sometimes now when I go home!) mom and I made cookies - and it is one of my favorite memories especially in December. Yesterday, we made the first batch of the Christmas season. Mercer Anne & Woodson were the best helpers ever! They do have a desire to "taste it" a little on the early side before the dough is really good.

Here they are discussing whether or not they should go for it.
Woodson decides it is time. MA goes in next but I had to stop taking pictures because it is at the point where it is really just eggs, sugar and butter and it is really nasty.
After we put the flour in they each got a beater. The beater kept Woodson occupied for a bit longer than MA. She had to have a second "dip". (Don't worry, I was fair, I re-dipped Woodson's too)

And after bath and dinner, we had some milk and cookies in our Christmas PJs. I love these kids and have decided I think I like Christmas even more now that I can share it with them:-)
