Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

We went to the Columbia, SC zoo today. We started out headed down I-20 at 9am. Woodson barfed 30 minutes into the ride. Thank goodness I brought a second outfit. We pulled over (on the verge of barfing ourselves from the sheer smell that filled the car) and changed his clothes and cleaned the car seat. The smell would not go away. We considered turning around but we decided there wasn't another time to be able to make it to the zoo--we continued on.

I was in charge of the directions and we missed our turn, then Richard didn't want to cut someone off (who knows why, everyone else it GA does it), so we missed our next turn. Needless to say we arrived at the zoo about 45 minutes later than expected. It was hot, we were cranky and so were the kids.

We strolled around the zoo looking at the animals, feeding some of them and enjoying some nice family time. Its a good thing because we have to go at least 2 more times this year to justify the "family package" we got suckered into. Go figure.

  1. When Kingston and Lori visited the Norfolk Zoo (our closest zoo) he liked the goats and the Choo-choo train! Bet your two had similar preferences!
