As I sit here, I am listening to my children NOT nap. Which I have decided is the best I can do for now and for the next 5 to 6 months.
It is ok if you judge me. I am not looking for approval. We have 3 bedrooms. We turned one into a playroom so that I could live "mostly" a clutter free life in the rest of the house. The twins share one room and we (which includes husband and soon-to-be b3) will share the other room.
I have tried everything to get them to nap separately and together. It is very frustrating and stressful to fight day after day over naptime. So I decided I am not fighting anymore. We are not going to play musical rooms or musical nap spots. The twins are going to sit/play/tear each others hair out for 2 hours a day. And I am not going in there. (Unless I hear blood curdling screams). I'm just not. One day when the novelty of spending 2 hours in a room together wears off and they realize how very tired they are, they will nap again. Until then, they can do whatever they want and I will put them to be an hour earlier.
These kids are awesome and I just feel that fighting over naptime isn't worth it. As long as they are in their room, they can do whatever they please:-)
